Extensive experience in senior management positions within the financial sector
Peter began his career in the seventies and has extensive experience in senior management positions within the financial sector. He has held positions as Senior Manager and CEO of large banking operations such as Citibank, Chase Manhattan Bank, Bank of New York and Barclays Bank.
Starting off in the Corporate banking Division at Citibank in Brazil, he reached the Managing Director position of Citicorp Investment Bank in São Paulo. At Chase Manhattan he headed, for two years, the Bank’s Treasury, Foreign Exchange and Capital Markets business in Latin America.
Peter was later named CEO of Chase’s Brazilian operations. Following this challenge, he moved to Banco Credibanco, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York in Brazil. After three years the shareholders decide to sell the business. This process, spearheaded by Peter, led to the Bank’s acquisition by Unibanco. As President of Banco Barclays, he also conducted an extensive corporate and business re-alignment that resulted in the re-launching of the institution as an investment bank.
In 2007 he founded ARC, an executive search consulting firm, focused on the recruitment for positions ranging from senior management to members of the board of directors.
He joined the Ackermann International, in May 2019, as a Board Member and as a Senior Consultant.
His education includes a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo and university extension courses in the areas of international business and resource management from Harvard University.
He has served as a board member and senior advisor for national and multinational companies.
